Todd's Losing It!
I missed making a post yesterday. :( But duty calls when you have children at your knees!
As far as Thursday's episode, I must say that it was pretty exciting. Yes, Todd was way out of line for slapping around Tess the way that he did. She might have deserved it, but he acted like he forgot she was even pregnant! Madame Delphina was outrageous (as usual). I can't even begin to say what I thought she looked like bent over the swimming pool, swirling for visions. Even more sad is the fact that Markko's real name is Geraldo Rivera! Poor child! I would've had to change that up, too! On a positive note, Langston has heard it from Delphina. Someone is out there, close to her. I doubt all this information is going to matter because Jared and Clint are already on a mission. How about Bo? Yea for him getting his commissioner job back! Don't Gigi and Rex need to get home to Shane? Oh, they're such a pain to even watch anymore. And I had such high hopes for Rex (when he was with Jen). Now, all hope is gone! Oh, well. This week, I actually enjoyed all of Mendorra. It was clever, funny, and well-acted. I'm still not sad to see it come to an end.
On to today's show: Didn't I say that Tess is a little slow? Her plan is slowly falling apart. The guy, Leo, is all over that house when he's suppose to be working in secret. Everyone has seen him. Tina is suspicious about the lock doors and what is going on in the basement. Tess can't come up with any kind of a logical explanation. She just pulls the first ish that comes out of her arse. The idea that Natalie and Jared are on the rocks, is seemingly working brilliantly into her plan to lock Natalie up. But I don't think it's going to work. Jared is such a big disappointment. I agree with Tess. Jared, man up, fool! He is not going to get any approval from Clint, nor the rest of the Buchanan family once this is over. I see nothing but disaster happening. OLTL has so many story lines slowly drifting towards that final climax. They're all going to be crazy! I hope. And Todd is on the verge of exploding, especially after losing Sam once again. As soon as Todd gets caught with Marty, he's going to be squealing on Tess like a hot roasted pig. John is not stepping back on this case. He's even pulling up old files on Lee Ramsey in hopes of finding a security tape on the night of the murders. Does Todd really think that Marty is going to stay cooped up in that bed forever. Eventually, she is going to start roaming around the house. Her memories will inevitably start coming to her. In fact, I think they will return once Todd brings Starr's baby in that house. Todd, I love the character, but he is something else. I figured he had planned something like this!
Until next week. . .

Let's Hear it for Mendorra!
Wow! The Mendorra storyline has sucked royally, but I can admit that they're going out in style! The scene with Carlo's bald-headed self lying in that bed, snuggled up on Jonas' chest was priceless! Thank you, OLTL for making me laugh today!
Bo and Lindsay? Yawn. An unnecessary visit. The least they could have done for Bo's return was to give him some conjugal visits!
Tess is so manipulative, but she's about a quarter short of "fiddy" cents! Of course, John isn't going to stop going after Todd's mystery woman! He's been obsessing over these files and now has a dimensional composite to prove her existence. I can't wait to see the final results.
Well, Todd and Tina's reunion was interesting. Tina has revealed to Todd that Tess is hiding something in the basement. I think that this is much more leverage for Todd, than simply finding out the evil alter ego, Tess has returned. Poor Tina! She needs some action in her life. All she does is sit around and talk to her pooch, David Vickers, and to her precious jewels. Please, somebody find her a man quick!
Gigi is pissing me off badly! This chick has some nerves! First, she tells Rex that he's Shane's father. Then she insists on not telling Shane right away. Sure, she may be worried about looking like a bad mother and a liar to her son. But the reality is that she is a liar! She can't allow this bond between Brody and Shane continue to grow any stronger than it already has. Of course, the situation has only gotten sicker! Somehow Brody conned up this foolish DNA test that declares him as Shane's father. This "love" triangle between Rex, Gigi, and Brody is seriously wacked!!!

Hollywood Loves OLTL!
We know that Snoop Dogg is a big fan of OLTL and Bo Buchanan. But did you know that other Hollywood celebs also get down with the hottest show on daytime television?
Here are a few of the celebs checking out Llanview:
- Jamie Anderson: She's a 17-year-old professional skateboarder, who enjoys the story line with the youngsters, especially Starr.
- Mike Metzger: Yea, I don't know him either! But he's a big-time freestyle motocross racer, who has the love for tats, speed, and OLTL.
- Vincent Pastore: "Big Pussy" is a fan of "General Hospital", especially since he's going to be on the show. He has played a mobster on "The Sopranos", as well as a mob guy on OLTL!
- Elizabeth Berkley: Remember Jesse on "Saved by the Bell", or worse---as the dancer on "Showgirls"? After that movie, Hollywood showed Elizabeth no love. So maybe one day she'd consider OLTL? Maybe she could play Johnny McBain's deceased love, Caitlin?

Back to the Future
Gigi and Rex's return back to 2008 was not exactly what I had expected. In fact, it was a bit cheesy. I know most of us were ready for the 1968 storyline to end, but couldn't they have at least went out with a BANG?!!! (Pun intended) On the other hand, I am happy that the secret of Shane's paternity is no longer. Finally, we can get back to Llanview and get this mess settle with "B-Roadie".
Awww. Isn't Tess's little "baby bump" just precious? I guess with all the craze in the Hollywood media about celebs and their "baby bumps", OLTL just couldn't resist. Personally, I saw no reason for Tess/Jess to be pregnant during the same time frame as Starr. Starr's teen pregnancy story line needs more attention so one pregnancy was enough. Who's next on baby watch in Llanview? It would be funny if Blair got knocked up by John!
Anyways, Tess's bump aside, what's really poppin' off is the scenes today with Todd. Tess's ish-eating grin was so huge she should've auditioned for the Joker. I guess girlfriend really hit the jackpot by discovering Marty? I don't know how successful Todd will be at shutting her up!
Okay, so. . . we're in Mendorra. :( I guess it's cool to see Carlo again, but let's move it along! I was so disappointed at all that wasted time Talia and Antonio spent smooching. They had enough time to get the hell out of there! Aren't they both cops? They should understand the word: Move. So move your bony arses, people!
Coming up is a Todd and Tina reunion. Maybe there is hope for Todd against Tess after all?

Blast from the Past
I know that all Marty fans had been anxious for the return of Susan Haskell. And now that's she's back. . . Nada! For the past few months, Susan hasn't been able to show her true talent as Marty because she's been cooped up in the bed playing Todd's puppet.
Will the real Susan Haskell (Marty Saybrooke) please stand up?!

You Are the Daddy!
What can I say about today's show? Not too bad for a Monday!
I am sure that I am not alone when I say, "Thank God, Gigi finally told Rex about Shane!"? Too bad it took her going back to 40 years in the past before she could say it. So what exactly is Brody doing going and taking a paternity test on Shane? He knows that Gigi is with Rex and will eventually return. And since Rex knows, undoubtedly there will be a new paternity test to reveal to Shane who his real father is! On a side note: How weird was this thing with Brody playing Ned Truman? Ugh!!!
Dallas is Clint's ex from London, right? So why is she telling Nora that she needs to be worried about her taking him back? Oh, well. I hope that she does! It's going to make for an interesting storyline. Nora hasn't been right since she sent Lindsay away to the pen. I know that Lindsay was right when she said Nora isn't happy unless she can beat down someone else. Now she has a new blond to go to battle with! I say game on, itches!
So when is the battle going to happen in Mendorra? As I've stated before, one time of Mendorra was enough. Why can't Sarah/Cristan and Antonio/Talia have "normal" relationships, like all the other nuts in Llanview?
Tess has officially become the head chick in charge. Now that she has seen Marty, I'd say it's all over for Todd. Todd may be able to manipulate her a bit, but for now Tess will be pulling the strings.
I can't wait to see what happens tomorrow!

Just One of those Days
I like Fridays because there is usually something good that happens to keep us waiting for Monday's show. On today's episode, Rex was suited up (looking good, by the way) in his military outfit and ready to be driven to the bus stop to head into war. I don't know what to think about Rex going in to Vietnam. Part of me wishes that he had taken Gigi's advice and ran with her. Who knows how long they will be stuck in 1968? I hope that it's not long enough for Shane to begin believing that his mother ran out on him for Rex.
I love this kid who plays Shane, but he is so much more comical as Spencer. How funny---he was running around and squirting the adults with a water gun! How sad---they freaked out over water. Who knows? Spencer might have never become psycho evil if he had kids his own age to hang out with. As we are seeing in the 1968 piece, he is lonely and stuck underneath the care of several adults who really don't care about him. Besides, having a whore for a mother didn't help.
What is Brody going to do now that he knows Gigi is gone? Hopefully, he takes this opportunity to forget about Gigi and get to know Layla. Come on, OLTL writers, let's make it happen!
Even though Rex is still in the time warp, at least we have Bo back home. He says that he didn't enjoy being Asa (1968), but it was definitely a helluva lot more life than he has in 2008. His girl is locked up in the pen and he doesn't even really have a job. Maybe Bo can return to his post as the Commish?
I don't have much to say about Starr and Cole. I'm curious as to why she insists on begging for him to take her back. She knows that he's not going to be happy unless she changes her mind about the adoption. I think by the time Starr does so (if she does), it will be too late. Cole might even move on to some other chick, like the snooty girl who snickered about Starr's "baby bump".
I thought the best scenes today was between Todd and Tess. I knew that Todd would be the first to call her out on being Tess. Maybe it was expected, but I did say so in an earlier post. I think eventually everyone will know. She is rolling her neck and flapping her gums way too hard to fool people into believing she is still Jessica. Tess is getting way too sloppy. I am beginning to doubt that she is going to get anywhere near completing her plans for Natalie.
Until Monday. . .

Blast from the Past
September 10th is the big day! A. Martinez will officially join the cast of OLTL as Roy Montez.
The following video is not of OLTL, but a clip from the 1990 Emmy's when A. won an award for his role on Santa Barbara. (It's a bit fuzzy)

Con Artists
Wow, it seems like half of Llanview put in a show today. There was a variety of story lines on today's show. And each person was up to fulfilling their own agendas.
I am saddened at the way Starr and Cole's relationship ended. But I really love the chemistry between Langston and Markko. For so long now, their only purpose have been standing around as Cole and Starr's loyal sidekicks. I am excited that OLTL writers have given Langston a storyline that will allow both her and Markko to shine.
How cute was little Jamie Vega? I hope that when Antonio (and Cris and Sarah) get to Mendorra they can immediately snatch up Talia. We really don't need another go-round with this story or that place! Talia and Antonio need to be in Llanview to give that precious little girl a family. After being dumped by Jessica, Jamie needs some motherly stability in her life.
Tess (Jess) is snapping at everyone, especially Tina. She looks like she is ready to explode. Eventually, the ole' pregnancy hormone excuse isn't going to work. Surely, Tina isn't as stupid as she sometimes acts? If anyone can smell a con, it would be her!
I can't believe Jared doesn't realize how he's being conned by Clint! I highly doubt Clint is ever going to accept Jared again. He is playing Jared for a straight fool. Let's face it, in order to regain power, the Buchanan needs a fall guy---Jared is that fall guy. Not only will Jared ruin Dorian and Langston's lives, he will also ruin his own. This scheme is the perfect opportunity for Clint to break up Jared and Natalie.
Amusingly, Clint would've been all up under Nora if he weren't too busy pulling this mess. But since he isn't around, Nora is all over Cole. I guess it's good that she is actually putting her role as guardian to use. I wished that she hadn't taken him to the country club though. I felt bad that Cole had to see the sonogram just laid out on the table like that. And the way Marcie was bragging about "yes, this is your baby", I felt as if she were almost gloating. This chick is going to be stuck in La-La Land for a while. OLTL writers have paired Marcie up with the conniving Cramer-Manning women. I hope that she enjoyed her salad at the country club with her two new bff's because soon enough it will be over! I hate to say this, but. . . maybe it's time for Cole to team up Todd once again.
Todd should be ashamed of himself for threatening Starr's doctor the way he did. However, I find it funny that Doctor Joplin wasn't scared of him at first. She got scared real quick when Todd mentioned the crooked past that she and her son led. I'm pretty sure that she's scared now! And she should be. Just the mere fact that Todd's life is empty and he is "sad and pathetic", gives him all the more reason for vengeance. I would like to know exactly what he has asked Doctor Joplin to do? Kidnap the baby? Say that the baby died in childbirth? Or will Todd flip the script and give the baby to Marty? Oh, hell, here we go!!!
The games that Llanview plays. . .

Blast from the Past
This video is from 1998. It's all good that Starr (who was an absolutely adorable child) had to grow up and fall in love with Cole. But I think we OLTL fans are missing the relationship she shared with her father. This scene also stars Roger as Todd. Have I mention how much I loved Roger? (Love you, too, Trevor!)

How Much is that Doggy in the Window?
Bo might not be able to fill Asa's shoes, but I think Clint is filling them quite nicely. Eventually, he will have this playing dirty game on lock! I am surprised that he is actually going to hire Jared "to stoop as low as Dorian Lord" so they can get back BE! And knowing how down and out Jared is, he will definitely break his back for Buchanan approval. But why are they going to go after my girl, Langston? Langston was right to let Addie know that she needed Madame Delphinia around. Delphinia's psychic mambo-jumbo is a bit silly, but it would be nice if Langston could have a warning about Jared/Clint. Poor thang! (Sigh) Oh, well. Bring on A. Martinez!
Speaking of Dorian and those Cramer women. . . where is Dorian? The last time I saw her, she was getting worked up at the idea of Blair and John doing God-knows-what! At least today, we saw Blair wearing clothes and actually supporting her daughter. Lord knows, we've seen enough of her legs to survive us for the rest of the year! Is Blair every really happy with anyone or anything, besides herself? I am really shocked that she has never spoken up about her feelings on Starr giving the baby to Marcie. Clearly, she wants this baby in the family about as much as Todd. Todd is going to the extremes (even threatening Dr. Joplin) to try to keep his grandchild. Sure, Marcie may have suggested that Blair be this baby's "grandmother". But, seriously, I think that may be asking for too much. Marcie needs to get her heads out of the clouds and realize that a storm is brewing---a storm named Todd. I sense that with this child, Todd is going to send Marcie through the ringer and then some. She better watch her back! This time around, neither Micheal or John may be able to saver her!
It's nice to see John finally back at the office. Although it's nice of Blair to relieve him of those black outfits, I'm glad to know that he's still able to conduct services with his big head. After all, he is suppose to be acting as the commissioner. When Keys was running his mouth about the "beautiful lady" at Todd's, I thought that John would immediately check it out. Unfortunately, I think his mind is still on Blair, Blair, Blair! Really, John? Blair being sexually assaulted by Keys? How bogus is that? Who would have to assault Blair?
Okay, now it's official! Natalie is so freaking slow! Even though she and Jess (Tess) aren't identical, or share the same father, they are twins, right? So shouldn't Nat have some kind of intuition about Tess? These people are killing me! Natalie is so worried about what Jared and the world thinks of her. Tina is forever the princess. Did you see that pink robe and feather collar. . . ruffles. . .whatever?! Ugh! The only one in that house that senses something is wrong with Jess/Tess is David Vickers--- the dog! Good grief!
Let's see where this all goes tomorrow. . .

One Life to Live's Kristen Alderson Blogs About Starr
On Friday's episode, Todd sneaked his way into Starr's bedroom, holding this godawful voodoo doll for Starr to extract her revenge on Cole. He then wanted to get back into Starr's good graces, by playing the sympathetic father who only wanted the best for her and the baby. But Starr wasn't having it!
Kristen writes about Starr's rocky relationship with Todd on her blog:
Father and daughter
Hey everyone. This week, I want to talk about Starr and Todd…
Starr’s always had a really special relationship with her father. On today’s show, Todd pays Starr a visit wanting to help her get through her break up with Cole. Starr sees this as a slap in the face. Todd’s always hated Cole. She sees this as an “I told you so” from Todd. All of sudden he wants to be buddy-buddy. Starr’s not having it. She’s become too smart for his games. He thinks everything is just perfect when it goes his way. He thinks that he’s the only one that could ever be right. Starr wants him to know that it’s not true!
Todd was always the person closest to Starr. She could always count on him. It’s different that her relationship with Blair.Read the entire entry here.

Dream A Little Dream
Hey, readers! I've been gone for a week, well, actually my computer has. The diagnosis on that problem: a failing hard disk drive. So until I can actually afford to install another, I'm going to keep my fingers crossed.
So many things have been going on in Llanview, Pennsylvania while my computer was down. There was Tess scheming with a guy named Leo, to build a secret room so that she can torture Natalie. Then there was Starr's blossoming belly and chat with her father. Next, we saw John somehow turn into Blair's knight and shining armor. And even worse, Todd's strange sleepovers with Marty, which doesn't appear to be ending anytime soon! And last, Gigi finally spiraling her way into 1968.
Monday's cliffhanger had me wondering what would happen when Gigi and Emma came 'face-to-face' with each other? I don't know if I expected a smack down or what! Needless to say, not much happened. Gigi looked shocked for a moment and then wondered why Rex had slept with Emma. She's so sprung on that boy! I am pretty sure that she will be hopping in that bed with him soon. So, Gigi, don't be a hypocrite! I hope that Gigi remembers to tell herself that however separate he and Adriana may be, they are still legally married! Even if Rex has told her that loves her, there will still be many things that need to be dealt with when they return to 2008.
If they are going to return? In OLTL promos, they talk about Rex and Gigi finding love before they were born and all. I want to know exactly when they are going to find their way home? Shane isn't getting any younger. Indeed, he seems to be getting much smarter! Obviously, he already knows that his mother loves Rex. In time, he will know that Rex is his father. I feel so bad for Brody knowing how he is going to be cast aside like yesterday's trash. However, Brody is so delusional. There is no way in the world that Gigi is going back to him. So while everyone else is finding comfort in other peoples' beds (like on Monday's show), maybe it's time he moves on, too. I'm still hoping for a Brody/Layla hookup!
I am not mad at John for getting with Blair. Their so-called relationship was not much of a challenge. The challenge is finding the meaning of this weird dream that he and Mary were having today? It didn't make much sense to me at all. I thought that John was entranced under Blair's spell? Why in the world would he even bother to think about Marty?
It is nice to know that although Phil Hartman has left the show, he doesn't mind bringing Asa back to us! And he hasn't lost the character either. Asa is still mean and crazy as ever. Yes, Pa was a real s. o. b., but Bo needs to get over it already. I love Bo, but he is so darn sensitive when it comes to Asa, and all the shenanigans he's pulled over the decades. Bo needs to get himself home. He may not have Lindsay around anymore, but who needs all that drama? He has Matthew. And Nora is so busy trolloping after Clint that she is hardly around for either Matthew or Cole. I sense that Matthew needs his father or he may end up with some troubled years ahead. After all, it is a soap!

In Madame Delphina, We Trust
A lot of people are not liking Madame Delphina's presence in Llanview. I think that she is funny. Weird, yes, but funny nonetheless. I enjoy her alter ego in 1968, Professor Del Fina as well. But I will admit that the 1968 storyline began as pure fun and is somewhat turning into a loon fest. I mean, what is all of this talk about time travels and portholes? I thought that maybe Rex and Bo could just get knocked on their heads again and wake up in 2008. Leave it to the soaps to go way out on a limb!
Wow. Bo is settling into his Asa act all too well. Today, he was just plain mean! First, he tells Rex (Bo) to act "like a real man". Then he tells Maria (Natalie) that she has got to go before telling Clint (Jared) about the baby. I know that nature must take it's course, but jeesh, Bo (Asa) seems to be enjoying his role a bit too much! I wonder if he even wants to go back to 2008? After all, it's not like he has Lindsay or his job as the commissioner to return to.
Whatever the writers decide to take this story, I hope that Bo (Asa) and Gigi (Emma) don't end up in bed together! That would just be too much for me. Hopefully, Madame Delphina gets Gigi to 1968 before that happens! All this talk of portholes is strange, but if they can suck Gigi up in one so she can get off of Brody's back, then I am all for it! I am rooting for Brody and Layla to get together.
I wonder if Madame Delphina knows about Tess? I'm sure that she does and the Buchanan can afford to pay her. I doubt that her services will be needed there. I know that someone will eventually catch on, and I think that person most likely will be Tina!
On another note, why did Todd fire Keys yesterday? It's not his fault that Blair's a slut!
Until next week. . .

Hello, Is There Anybody In There?
Did you see Blair 'sluttyin' it up with Keys? This woman is something else? Ugh?! Sure Blair is beautiful at her age, but she needs to stop! Please, Blair! Close your mouth. Shut your legs.
Dorian doesn't care what kind of fool she makes herself out to be. I don't think that she has it all up there! She is such a killjoy! Her unwanted appearance at Viki's going away party was enough to make everyone vomit in their mouths. But does Dorian gracefully make an exit? Oh, no. This witch has to open her mouth and let the nastiness spew out! And here I was banking on Todd to be the nasty one. At least he was halfway decent. Viki has that affect on him (usually). She can come down hard on him, but still make him smile.
Tess is such a trip, especially the way that she practically shoved Viki out the door. Hello? Didn't anybody hear the way that door slammed? Is anybody even with the program? I guess everyone is so unobservant and wrapped up in themselves to notice? Wait. . . what am I saying? I actually want Tess to follow through on doing her dirt, as long as she doesn't kill anyone.
I didn't remember this Cain character even though most were excited about his return. He turned out to be nothing out of the ordinary in soapland. Actually, he was quite boring. I will admit the funny thing about Cain was him being greedy and running around to get those fake jewels! Too bad he jumped out of the plane never knowing Tina had switched the jewels! I knew Mrs. Drama was still a bad girl! Wonder what she is going to say to Viki?
I am getting tired of Brody and his nonsense. He knows Gigi isn't thinking about his short behind! I can't wait until Rex gets back to Llanview to knock him out of his fantasy. If Jeremiah, or Moe, is correct, then the only way for Rex and Bo to get home is by letting time progress as it should. If so, Brody is still out of luck with Gigi. Maybe he should get with Layla since she is single now!
Poor Layla. All she ever did was be a good friend to Adriana's meddlesome butt! Now she is left without a sister, a best-friend close to home, or a man! What are the writers doing to Vincent? It's nice to see another black character in Llanview, but why does she already have to be in the middle of drama? I seriously doubt that Vincent is in love with the both of these girls! He was barely even around Layla. Oh, well. What should we have expected? Vincent blew into town being a bad boy! One question: Where is my teddy bear, Shaun?

Blast from the Past
Starr and Cole: In the Beginning

Baby Steps
I guess this whole Mendorra s/l is coming to an end??? Was there anyone besides me who was slightly disappointed when Sarah boarded the plane?
I know that Starr doesn't want to see Todd, but why is Blair keeping him away from Jack? Jack seems to really miss his dad. And as he grows he is going to need a man in his life, even if it is Todd! The same goes for baby Sam. It's silly to think that Jack and Sam will grow up okay being around all those Cramer women!
How funny---Blair found the nightgown that Todd was buying for Marty. I guess it's one baby step closer to the truth!
So Tess is finally getting the ball rolling. Soon she will have Viki out of the house, since she gave her a ticket to leave Llanview tonight! Those balloons that she had put up were kind of tacky! But what was even more tacky was Dorian interrupting the party saying, "Did somebody forget to invite me?" Tacky!!! Luckily, Todd was invited to the party as well. Ordinarily, I would say that he'd be there only to start trouble, which he probably will. Yet, the last time Jess became Tess, I believe Todd was the one who figured her out. Maybe this time he'll see.
Poor Starr. Poor Cole. Somehow, I see a resolution towards this relationship whether there is a baby or not. I agree with Cole. It would be terribly hard to walk around town seeing someone else with your child.

Blast from the Past
In case they take David away from us forever! Here's a video of David and Dorian back in the day. Also starring is little Joey Buchanan, whom Dorian had wrapped around her evil fingers. Enjoy!

The Lies Must End
Getting to today's show. . .
I thought that this Mendorra storyline would end today? It doesn't seem like that is going to happen. I mean, come on, people! Talia, Antonio, Cristian, Tina and Cain are all alive (so far). With the exception of Cain's greedy self, everyone is already outside of the palace. This was the best time to escape. Why couldn't they have ran away from there, instead of sticking around until Carlo and his goons showed back up? How come the writers don't get this mess over with?
And why doesn't Gigi just tell Brody to leave her alone? Obviously, she can barely stand to be around him without always coming down on him for some reason or another. It's really making me not like her at all. I wish she would just tell him to go find another place to live or something! I think that Brody should go get a room at Roxy's in Angel Square! Maybe he could hook up with Marcie if Michael doesn't come back and if she adopts Starr's baby. We all know that Brody is a fool in love and he's good for taking on someone else's responsibility. Gigi's free ride on the lie train must end now!
The Buchanan lies must end as well. I know they don't want David Vickers in their lives, but I do! If Clint and Nora are so smart, maybe they should realize that acknowledging that David is the rightful Buchanan heir may be the easiest way to get BE back into their control? Of course, that means David will be around forever, but what is so bad about that? Other than a few cons, he is completely harmless! Who knows? Maybe this will also put time back into perspective and bring Bo and Rex back to 2008?
I'm torn with my feelings on the 1968 story. I definitely believe the quicker it's finished the better. However, I like the whole hippie vibe. I love that January La Voy has an opportunity to show how much of an asset she could be to the show if OLTL decided to make her Noelle character 'important', and more than just a lover of pies! Renee as a young chick seems fun and free spirited. How she ever fell for Asa still remains to be seen. Jared makes aviator shades look good. What a cutie! And Bo and Rex remind me of an old school cop duo. I don't know, maybe more like "Bonanza" or "Rawhide" without all the action. I hope this storyline can stay fun and interesting until they bring our boys home!

One Life to Live's Kristen Alderson Blogs about Starr
Kristen Alderson writes in her journal about Starr and Cole's breakup.
Loss
Hey Guys!
This week was a really sad week for Starr and Cole because they broke up and that got me thinking that Starr’s main question probably is “could she have done anything to change their situation?” So I’ll ask you: Have you lost something that meant a lot to you and could you have done something to change it?
Starr got pregnant.
Earlier this year, I was supposed to perform in the “ABC Daytime Salutes Broadway Cares Equity Fights AIDS” event, but I got really sick and was unable to go. I had rehearsed and was really looking forward to performing with Kathy Brier but there was nothing I could do. Luckily, another opportunity came up a few months later and we got to perform together. Things happen in life that you just can’t control and you have to try to make the best out of it.

Memories
I've been gone for a few days, so I haven't been able to write about my show! I have been watching though!
Last Thursday, the most interesting thing was Starr quipping to Blair, "I hope you used protection?" Ha ha ha! As if she has any room to give advice or to judge anyone? It was sweet when Starr felt her baby kick for the very first time. It brought back memories for me! The saddest thing about Thursday's episode was Addie going through with her annulment to David. I guess Dorian wins again?!
Friday's episode was awesome! Shane as Spencer Truman is hilarious. I loved when Rex called him a freak! And speaking of freaks, John McBain is acting like a freak on a leash (in my opinion). Why was he all up in the bar crying (sort of) over his booty call with Blair? Surely he knew that Blair was going to bring up the whole 'friendship' thing? That's her m.o. Those McBain's are something else! For instance, Michael is hopeless. He is never going to get any other booty besides Marcie's'. I just don't see the writers ever giving him another love interest. Michael might as well come to some kind of compromise with that girl! However, the best storyline of the day was with Starr and Cole. Poor thangs! Starr must have thought that she had won her life back when Cole signed over his paternity rights? Sorry for her because he said that they are done!!!

Blast from the Past
Todd Manning (Roger Haworth) and Tea Delgado (Florencia Lozano).
Tea was a little bit of a spitfire, who rarely took Todd's crap. Of course, their marriage was out of convenience, but at times, they still seemed to work as a couple. And, eventually, Tea did fall in love with Todd. In this scene, Tea discusses her life and her Latino roots. Todd professes that he is an "acceptable jerk."
Check this out---it's the same penthouse!

Tika Sumpter's New Music
Tika Sumpter, Layla Williamson, is not only hard at work on OLTL, but also doing her own thang in the music business.
On her myspace page, Tika says that she was influenced by Janet Jackson, Alicia Keys, Madonna and Britney Spears. She describes her sound as "Britney with some flavor."
Some of the songs include: "Downtown", "Freak", "On Your Mind", and "Fall in Love". I listened to "Fall in Love" and must say that it is a beautifully written song. Tika sounds really good. Please check out her music here.

War and Peace
Viki returns to Llanfair. Tess couldn't even pretend not to be shocked! Viki is such a saint! She is acting as if being dead if even for a short while, is not a big deal. Oh, no, if Viki goes off to Africa as an ambassador, all hell is going to break loose! Tess will have all the time in the world to 'take care of' Nat and Jared. Hmm. I'm still surprised Viki and Nat don't sense the urgency or coolness in Tess's voice? Jessica would probably still be upstairs in her room crying.
I thought Charlie was short enough for a guy, but Brody is really a shortie! I think that Brody should stick with Charlie. These two could have a good friendship. Even though Charlie knows Brody's secret, I highly doubt that he will go blabbing his mouth about it. Sensible Charlie will only spend his time trying to convince Brody that the truth is the best way to go. I don't know how well this will all go down?
Todd knows Blair and John slept together. Eventually all of Llanview will down. It's funny how Todd is really trying to make Blair jealous talking about having a "pure, intelligent woman" at his house. It was also quite comical when Todd told John that he might want to go get checked out! Todd and Blair are so juvenile in their arguments. And Todd just had to go there -- proclaiming that Blair is nothing more to John, but a stand-in for Marty. Then, wow! Todd gets knocked the hell out by John.
So Rex's call makes it through to 2008. But what can Gigi possibly do with the information (ie 1968, Vietnam, Asa and Bo Buchanan) that Rex has given her? If I were Gigi getting a call like that, I would've thought that he must be drunk or high! Oh, I really hope that both Rex and Bo are returned to 2008 before Rex is shipped off to Vietnam. That would be a disaster. Rex is absolutely right--if he dies, Bo's entire lineage will be wiped clean. But let's look on the bright side, at least wardrobe had finally gotten Rex into a new outfit!
Finally we meet Moe, or rather Jeremiah. This one is going to be funny. Moe (Jeremiah) is looking crazy in all his hippie glory--long hair, tye-dye shirt, and his Elton John, purple specs. I love the hippie-age so I am looking forward to the laughs!

A Smile Is Worth a Thousand Words
When is this sorry excuse for a storyline (Mendorra) going to end? I was really looking forward to the return of Carlo Hesser, but what is this? Next. Next. Next. I want my Tess fix!
Gigi better watch out! Eventually Brody might flip the script and start playing the game towards his favor, or tell Shane. I don't know why she doesn't give him a chance. He's got more meat on his bones than Rex does. And he's not a bad looking guy at all!
Finally, John and Blair have done the deed. Blair said that it was 'inevitable'. Well, duh. Everyone saw this one coming, girl! When have you not slept with someone you've gotten close to? What gets me is that she laid up there with John in the morning as if she didn't have a care in the world. Don't she have a couple of kids that she need to go home and tend to? I like Blair and all, but when it comes to men and sex, she is so selfish. She only seems to think about her own satisfaction. Maybe if she hadn't been so wrapped up in Todd's foolishness, Starr wouldn't be pregnant!
Todd needs to slow his roll. I feel kind of bad for the both of them. It's going to be a sad day when the ish hits the fan! This friendship thing is getting more awkward each day! I am watching, but it's kind of weird considering Todd raped Marty. Today, the smiles that they both had made me laugh and cringe at the same time. Ummmm. . .
Whoa. . . I never expected Lindsay could look so rough! She was truly a H.A.M.!!!
Thank you OLTL for once again subjecting me to those rags you call clothes on Rex's beautiful body! Okay, let's get this kid into a new outfit ASAP, please! Already we know that Rex (Bo) is on his way to being drafted into the Vietnam war. Crazy!!! Rex cannot even fight! He said so himself! Bo might have made it through, but Rex would get creamed over there! And how in the world did Rex get a cell reception in 1968? Only in the world of soaps!!!

Blast from the Past
Blair and Cristian The Morning After

The Show Must Go On?
Well, it's Monday so I will forgive OLTL for a relatively slow show!
I think that it's time for Viki to take Charlie back. Let's face it: they are in love and neither are getting any younger! Charlie's only vice is that he is a sucker. He is the epitome of the quintessential nice guy. I don't understand why Viki would've imagined Charlie in bed with Dorian after all that she has done to him?!
Hey, at least we still have David and Addie going strong! Yea Addie for ripping up those annulment papers! Dorian needs to mind her own business and let Addie have some fun. What can I say about this couple. Indeed, they are strange, but very entertaining. I get a kick out of their role playing references. Addie, the stern meter maid! LOL!
Yea to John! He finally took off that coat. Isn't it kind of warm in PA this time of year? On Friday, John and Blair were getting kind of hot. Now, it's like neither one knows what to do next? Are these two taking forever or what? I wanted to scream, "let's get it poppin' already!"
With Cristian, Blair was like, 'WHAM, BAM'! But with John, she is moving at the speed of a slug. What is up with that? Don't tell me that she has went and fallen in love?
I am so ready for the Susan Haskell that we all loved to bring it on! OLTL is dragging this storyline into the ground. Lee is dead, Todd is there now. So lets get these memories restored! I guess it was kind of touching that Marty asked Todd to sit by her beside because she was scared of the storm? Words? Ugh, how. . . sweet? I am uncertain where the writers are trying to go with this one?
Okay! I guess I am ready for some Cole, Starr and Todd madness!!!

Blast from the Past
Today's blast is the Marty Saybrooke rape storyline. At this Spring Fling of 1993 , Marty is raped by 3 Llanview University students, amongst them, Todd Manning. Please check out RHfan75 You Tube page. She has lots of clips of Roger Haworth (who I love!) Roger and Susan Haskell are sensational actors! This is OLTL writing and acting at its finest.

The Truth Shall Set You Free
First of all, I would like to know why Brody is still so sprung on Gigi? It's not like he was on the Internet trying to find her during all these years after the war! What is this infatuation really about? I think he is living in his own fantasy world!
David Vickers is just crazy. I loved his line, "It's been awhile since I've seen that many zeros!" Trust that many of us have never seen that many zeros (at least on a check!)
It was kind of strange seeing Charlie and Addie having a heart-to-heart chat! Even stranger was when Addie said that David is everything a girl could want in a man. I must say that Addie is a delightful character, so much better than her being locked up in St. Ann's. She's warm and funny. I enjoy hearing her talk about her 'bucket list'.
Dorian. Dorian. Dorian. Well, at least she confessed that she didn't really sleep with Charlie. But as we know Dorian, she can't just let things be. She has to mix some kind of lie in with the truth. This time she had the audacity to tell Viki that her death felt like "losing her best friend". What?! If Dorian really wants to be set free, then she might as well start telling the truth.
Today, we were introduced to the new and improved Blair Cramer! Yeah, right! John and Blair are still going at it. While this sexual conquest is all good and gravy, where is their relationship going from there? I guess they will just be 'friends with benefits' until Marty and Todd resurface back into their lives?!
I was planted to the screen to see if Todd was going to tell the truth about the rape. I wondered if he would admit that he was that hateful student at LU who did those things to Marty? He did tell the truth about the night of the rape. I am surprised that he even went there! I think that this may be the first time that we see how sincere Todd is about his actions. I truly believe that he is disgusted with himself. I think that he probably should tell Marty the entire truth, ask for her forgiveness and let her go home to her son.

Marty Saybrooke Testifies

Labels: blast from the past, classic, daytime television, drama, Marty saybrooke, one life to live, soap operas
Step Off!
Wow! Brody kissed Gigi and didn't get slapped! I think their relationship may actually start to grow into something.
Now what is up with David Vickers?! He turned down a guaranteed $10 million check! I wonder what con he has up his sleeve for Nora and Clint. I don't think that they could outdo David. I really don't even like those two together. Believe me, I tried. For some reason, Nora and Clint just don't click!
Oh, poor Dorian! Today, she looked like she was going to go crazy!!! I don't think that she is really feeling too guilty. She just knows that once everyone learns about what she does to Charlie, she is going to lose the little bit of life that she has left. The Mel/Melinda nurse scenario was just weird!
Sorry, Markko! I'm sure that Cole hears you, but he isn't listening. Markko is so right about Todd. Cole has made a deal with the devil. How can he possibly break from that?
Uh, oh. I guess Starr's hormones are kicking in! Todd Junior, here we come! I bet the further along that Starr gets, we are going to see a lot of snapping at Langston!
Do you feel what I feel? The heat is on with John and Blair. I knew that it wouldn't be too much longer until they fell into the bed together. Of course, Blair is beautiful and she is grown. But I wish that she didn't always have to be the w#%&e!
Okay. I am taking a deep breath! I know that the climax to Marty regaining her memory is starting to build up. Now Marty knows that she was raped by someone that she knows. And although I want this storyline sped up, I am torn at the idea of Marty reliving those memories. Those are some powerful scenes. Roger Howarth as Todd was a genius actor to have put himself out there, regardless of critics of fans!

Blast from the Past

All Good Deeds Must End
It seems as if Miss Doctor Dorian Lord has redeemed herself! After saving, Viki's life, ultimately she retorts back into Mrs. Queen B!!!
Let's give it up for Markko! Today, he became the 'voice of reason' by trying to talk some sense into Cole's head. He knows that it's stupid for Cole to side with Todd and go through with this disgusting custody battle against Starr. Too bad Cole won't see it that way before it's too late!
Todd looked so pitiful today! Yet, I still see that he has some love for Marty. I don't know whether it's because he is so lonely or because he doesn't have anyone to push around? Well, he can't be too lonely! It seems that no matter what memory loss Marty might have suffered, she didn't lose her ability to talk. And why does she have a glass of wine when she hasn't even got up out of that bed yet! Home girl needs a glass of milk!
Oh, snap! Todd tells Marty that she was raped! I wasn't expecting that one at all! I can't wait to see how this goes down!
Did Langston really need to show the 'sex tape' thing again?! Come on! Once was enough! However, I am glad to see that she is a total support system for Starr. I almost can't believe that OLTL is going to play this storyline to the end (hopefully)! Also, today, Langston announced that Starr is starting to show. They were making a video for the baby to view when he/she turns 16. That was really touching to me. I have two children, and even though I wasn't a teenage mother, I know how much joy you feel once the belly starts to grow. The bond grows even stronger once you feel the small butterfly like movements and even those painful little kicks! It's an amazing experience. I know that this is a soap opera, but in reality, trying to adjust the emotions behind those feelings would be hard to do. It will be hard for Starr to give her baby up.

The End of the Road
Well, it's the end of the road for Viki's stay in Heaven. I loved the scenes that she shared with Ben at CROSSXROADS. It was really sweet. Shoot, if I had the choice to stay and stare at him, or go back and look at Dorian's face, I think that I would've picked Ben as well. Nevertheless, old witchy Dorian went soft on us and she saved Viki's life. I am glad that we could see her finally do the right thing! On another note, David looks as good when he is serious, as he does when he is been a goof!
The only thing that I can say negative about this two-part special is the fact that more past favorites couldn't be there! Where was Max, Luna, Al, or Gabrielle? Those were some of my favorite characters! But I am not bitter because John Loprieno did revive Cord(ero). I am praying that this silly Mendorra story brings Cord back to Llanview (or at least Mendorra) to save Sara. It would be awesome to have him back on the show, if even for just a while.
I am kind of sad that it is all over! Oh, wait...no, it's not! Rex and Bo are still missing. According to some of the spoilers, they will be stuck in 1968 for awhile! I believe that it will be long enough for Rex (Bo) to possibly be sent to Vietnam!
Oh, I am loving this blast from the past in Texas! It's a bit weird, but interesting. Here are a few of my opinions on the role reversals, etc.:
- Bo-The thought of 'Gigi' and Bo in bed together is crazy! I know that they have to create a baby and it seems as if Bo isn't going to go through with it. I don't think that he and Rex are looking at the situation right. They are going to change history and the future they go back to! Who knows what kooky Llanview we would end up with?
- Rex-If Rex, as Bo, sleeps with 'Gigi', then there is a possibility that Bo's son, Rex will not exist. What if David Vickers is that son?!
- Gigi-Gigi, as Emma, will surely find the charm and sexiness that is 'Balsom'.
- Shane-Awww, he looks so adorably evil! He reminds me of the kid in the Omen movies, in his dress shirt and khaki pants, and his hair parted and slicked down. Darn that Spencer Truman!!!
- Natalie-Wow! I really wasn't expecting this one. First of all, I don't really remember Maria, Cord's mother, at all. Secondly, the black wig, the brown eyes, and the Spanish accent really isn't working for me!
- Jared-Jared as Clint is a real freaky horn dog of a cowboy, ain't he? No wonder Maria got pregnant!
- Noelle-She looked lovely today! Of course, she still is in a maid's outfit! Anyways, I love her Spanish accent because it was Au natural! And it was a great change from her usual Texas twang!

They're Not In Kansas Anymore!
Today, Viki makes it in to Heaven. This time she is placed on the set of a television show (apparently her own), instead of a spaceship like in the 1987 episode. It was cool to finally see the creator of OLTL, Agnes Nixon make an appearance. What a great show she has made! Of course, my favorite girl, Erin Torpey, acted as Viki's guide, her granddaughter Megan. Speaking of Megan, I would have loved to seen Jessica Tuck in more than a clip. Tuck was awesome as Viki's daughter, Megan. She is such a good actress and has went on to appear in popular shows, such as Grey's Anatomy and Saving Grace. But, sadness aside, Erin was there! I thought that she looked so fresh faced and pretty. I truly do miss her on the show! Another person who was a huge asset to the show is Phil Hartman. Hartman, best known as that s.o.b., Asa Buchanan, also made an appearance on today's episode! I'm quite surprised Asa even made it into Heaven. It's so obvious that he is still arrogant as ever. He told Viki that he was on the phone with the "Big Man" trying to get on a higher floor. LOL! OLTL brought the laughs and giggles with the looniest chick of all time (sorry, Roxie), Nikki Smith and her boy toy, Elvis! And, last, but surely not least, what about Ben Davidson? Doesn't he still look good? I can't wait for their love reunion on tomorrow's show!
Dorian's ex love, Mel came down to give her some advice. As if she will actually take heed to anything? That woman is so thickheaded. Doria will always be Dorian and that is why we've enjoyed her throughout the years.
We've all enjoyed Tina Lord, haven't we? But, why was the whole Mendorra travesty a part of the anniversary show? The only thing worth recapping on that incident was when Tina went over the Iguazu Falls. Other then that, I hated watching every minute of these scenes! So I will move right along!
My favorite scenes of the day were in Texas. Everyone was hysterical and funny looking! I can't believe Rex is still wearing that same outfit! I was as shocked to see that as he was to find out that he and Bo were in the year 1968! And where in the world did they find that old television? WOW!
The 1968 Texas storyline really made the show today (for me). It was weird, but interesting I enjoyed the fact that they went into playing other characters:
- Bo as Asa
- Rex as Bo
- Jared as Clint
- Nigel as Chuck Sr. (loved that Texas twang!)
